Added 2021-11-10 16:28:33 +0000 UTCSo against all better judgment I'm working on a second Joshua the Magic Boy book. The first one refuses to move off my tables when i go out selling. Its a beginner reader novel meaning its specifically for kids learning to read books on their own who are too advanced for picture books but not quite ready for chapter books. Its a phase most kids enter and leave in a hurry if theyre fans of reading and kinda catapult over if theyre not. So why am i doing this? Well... the drawtober challenge reminded me how much fun drawing with a pencil and paper was. Picture books are colored. Chapter books require a lot of writing time. But a beginner reader is a short write with a lot of black and white images to draw, AND i ran into one whole customer at a mothers club who asked me if i had a second one. "Not yet" i replied. So here we are. Here are the illustrations for the first story segment in which Joshua, James, and their father go camping.
