Update

Hello my dears, you have been missed!! 💞 I'm dropping by with a (long-ass) update lest anyone thinks I might have disappeared.

1. Update on the MPL launch.

Since it's already mid-October, I'm hoping the launch will be in November. However, the exact launch date is not within my control. And it hasn't been revealed to me by my editor / Webtoon. So as much as I'd like to, I can't give anyone a date, yet. Right now, all I can do is to keep producing episodes, whilst waiting for the green light from Webtoon. Though my editor has asked me to start working on the MPL promotional art and comic banners, so that's a good sign.

For those who have been so patiently waiting, I can only say a huge, huge, THANK YOU for being such amazing angels. I truly, truly am filled with gratitude, and I can't say this enough! I feel like I'm walking down this strange road leading to an unknown future, and I can't see what's ahead of me. But I have you guys right by my side cheering me on, and that gives me so much strength to keep marching down that road. So thank you, a million times over ❤️❤️I'm really pouring all my efforts into producing the MPL episodes to the best of my abilities, in hopes that I'll make all of your waiting worthwhile once MPL launches <3

2. Patreon content for October

For my $5 tier, I will have a new Secret Garden update within the next few days. For my $1 tier, I'll drop by with other stuff - like the MPL promotional artwork WIPs - since I most likely will not be posting any more MPL sneak previews until I launch.

Now that official matters are out of the way, here are some personal updates (more of a writer's journey kind of update, so you feel free to skip to the tldr at the bottom).

The last couple weeks, a string of minor family emergencies and personal matters cropped up, and that got me distracted for a bit. At the same time though, I had a nice surge of inspiration, and I managed to script out the entire MPL storyline, fully fleshed out, from start to finish. And I am so thrilled to finally, officially, put a 'The End' to the story.

I'd been putting this off for the longest time because it was such a daunting task (the burn-out I had in August made it worse). Apart from the first part of the story, the rest of it was a beast (mess) of an outline that was long, complicated, rambling, bascially all over the place.  And because MPL was a story I started in my early 20's, it was a chaotic mishmash of scenes I'd accumulated over the years, and an endless list of 'inspired' dialogues and scene ideas.

So first week of October, the hubs went on a solo vacation for some kinda 'eat-pray-love' journey (mid-life crisis, apparently). I was all mopey and salty being stuck at home on my own, but decided to make use of all this alone-time to tackle the MPL storyline. I pulled up an Evernote note to flesh out a scene outline...and it turned into almost two weeks of obsessive, non-stop writing and planning. Basically I was hiding out in my cave, lost in this whole MPL world filled with Poppy, Tora, Quincey and gang, and these thugs and villains. The rest of reality kind of faded away. It was just...pure bliss 🥰And happily, I was able to untangle those messy plot lines and re-write the story so it's more logical and coherent, and the episodes flow into each other more seamlessly, now.

Anyway now that I've snapped out of this trance,  I don't think I can bear to look at the manuscript any longer 😂Funny thing is, I'd initially planned for MPL to be more of a drama/slice-of-life story. But my muse had other plans of her own. Turns out, it's much more of a crime/thriller/mystery gangster-romance than I'd thought, with plentiful servings of fluff and mush 🥰🥰And I am so excited and happy with the results, and even more pumped to work on MPL now.

Tl;dr - I've completed most of the MPL script over the last two weeks and I'm super excited now, yay.
