Posting Rate and Content!

Since Patreon has added a 'follow' feature in the wake of social media's flop era, we have been wondering if we should start to post our non-pinclub pins, concepts, illustrations, and comics here, instead of just pin reveal and discount code posts.

The last thing we want to do is spam folks, or drive folks away. But we've also repeatedly heard folks say "I missed this post/drop!" and "I had no idea because my insta/twitter/fb feed doesn't show me posts by the accounts I follow."

Thank you for your feedback!

Good to know—Thank you so much!

This is all well thought out, thank you for taking the time to write all this. I’m weighing it against what seems to be a lot of folks wanting to see more natively on patreon. What we may end up trying is putting non-club pins inside the discount updates, the same periodic polls, and beyond that just the comics that directly relate to the month’s pin—so it serves as a reminder rather than a divergent topic.

Only pin reveals and discount codes with the rest going to the Discord, and here's why. 1) In order to receive and order pins, people HAVE TO be subscribed to the Patreon. 2) The more other things are added to the Patreon, the MORE likely people are to miss the posts that require action. The current "it's from Gay Breakfast, I'd better read this immediately" benefit would be lost. 3) We already have a Discord. Post these items on Discord and people will not only still have access to it, but if you add sorted channels people can pick and choose what things they want to be notified about. I'm interested in comics but not in concept art; I can unmute the comics channel and mute the concept art channel. tl;dr: Put these things in the Patreon and people have no choice about what they see. Put them in the Discord and people have complete control. (I know, "I don't have Discord," but more and more companies are moving customer forums and even product support there. It's a free app and you certainly don't have to use it for anything else.)

I don't use social media. I'd love to see more art from you guys.

Would love to see concepts and sketches and things!
