Welcome to a Weekly Update

A Clint pilot Tale: He Once ran a Clint stock model. When asked what the pilots name was he replied “Eastwood.” When asked where I was from he replied “Nowhere”. When asked what his motivation for being here was, he replied “A fistful of C-bills”. When asked if he had anything else he replied “Nope. That’s the good, the bad, and the Ugly”. In frustration the GM groaned and facepalmed to which he asked “Does this make me Unforgiven?” After a session of trying to make the Clint pilot pay by targeting him with a Jenner and failing miserably, the pilot proclaimed “I used to stack ducks like you five mechs high in the succession war. Used ya for cover”. And thus he became the legend known as “Clint” Eastwood.

Totally agree about the internet. I think it's about to go through a stage of regression, or contraction where peoples' activity levels go back to something approaching the dial-up days. AI will slowly inbreed itself out of existence. Slow to start, but it'll pick up steam as the copy of a copy problem becomes more pronounced. I've held the belief that it's up to you to show your job what you can do, and up to them to show you what it's worth to them. That said I've been fired six times over the year. I do *so* enjoy your Dwarf Fortress streams. Also your Ultimate Admiral streams. Don't stress yourself out over streaming vs your personal health though.

Hey Tex, glad to hear things are better! I understand the whole idea of working hard when fresh in the door. Read out loud only what's worth reading in your opinion. So in the good thing to happen to me category, I found an unopened, original copy of Crimson Skies! I of course immediately bought it and it's now sitting on one of my shelves trying to tempt to open it. I have so far resisted. Found it a random game shop I had never been to before while I was killing time waiting on the family. They had a lot of older games, so I will be back to add to my collection. Did you ever have one of those moments where you just decide to try something or go somewhere and stumble into something you wanted but never expected to see?

Been catching up on the long awaited Traveller campaign. It makes me think of The Expanse, but in the vein of Fallout 1. I am honestly surprised no one suggested filling the sandcaster turret with asbestos for ammunition

Hey Tex! Sound of your voice alone tells that things are currently going better. You (and people in general) should be proud of your work and the effort put in. There is a great difference between pride and hubris. Pride is something that helps you to reinforce your self-worth and self-acceptance in the face of reality. Just, be mindful not to let the pride turn into hubris. To most people this shouldn't be an issue. The deadly sin should have been named hubris. Naming it pride has just lead to so many self-conscious people to suffer needlessly. Cheers and thank you.

Heya Tex, please save voice. By the time you're reading this, I'll have had 3 metal screws punched into my jaw that day to replace 2 molars and a canine I've lost over the years (also 6 other molars, but no replacements there), so yeahhh, I know that feeling of tooth aches - glad to hear you got it fixed. Entirely unrelated, Ramstein Flag was held up north here, and I until now I hadn't thought I'd get to see the main European lineup of fighters taking off and landing in one day, but hey, guess all that geopolitical tension has *some perks*... Right..? Yeah.. Totally worth it... They even pulled out an oddly glossy Falcon 20EW, which was interesting. Do you have a preference on any of the fighters? Eurofighter, Rafale, Gripen, F-16, F/A-18 C, or even the gaming rig in a creaky plastic case that is the F-35? I know there's usually a niche for each, but still.. Personally, I feel the F/A-18 is probably the last of the sensible, practical American ones, and I have a soft spot for the Eurofighter, even if only because EF2000 was an amazing flightsim back in the day. I wanted to be an F-16 pilot back then, but... well, no dice. IT it is. No particular preference on the streams on my end - chances are I won't make it to them most of the time. Time zones and all that. But if I can, it'd be nice to see you stream again regardless. Hope the new job is less taxing than before. Take care, and see you out there. Also: as a Toyota Hylux mech I propose: the Powerman Sure its armor won't stop a tank round, but it's cheap AND it has a machine gun!

Oh wow, I’m so excited about a Traveller documentary! That was literally my first love of RPGs. I still have all my original books and modules!
