Howdy folks, two new videos for you!

I discovered a cool way to make new percussion samples out of reverb, which is one of those so-simple-how-did-I-never-think-of-this-before kind of ideas. Possible with both hardware and software, and anyone who tries it would probably get unique results since it depends what reverb you're using, what you're feeding the reverb, and your taste in volume/filter envelopes. There's also some other reverb experimentation in the video. Watch here!

I've also been working with Vochlea who recently released an update to their voice-to-MIDI product Dubler. It's now a standalone app that you can use with any microphone, and they've improved its responsiveness, among other things. It's absolutely fantastic for beatboxing your drum parts out, and can be really cool for generating melody and chord ideas in a more natural way. I will note that the MIDI sometimes requires editing if you're not an amazing singer, but I think that's just the way of these things. After all, I've played piano my entire life and I still need to edit my MIDI keyboard performances!
