Red Roses Ace of Spades - A Few Thoughts

I think this is what the final Ace of Spades for the Red Roses Gold Foil Premium Edition will look like.

My original plan was to create three or four variations and let you vote for your favorite. But honestly, I think this version is just perfect.

The original Red Roses Ace was entirely black - even though I could have made the rose petals red back then. I can't quite remember why I left them black, but I guess I was working under the mindset that an Ace of Spades simply has to be black. As you can see with this new Ace - and some other Black Roses Aces - I'm not afraid to change my mind.

Funny enough, I've never been the biggest fan of my own Ace of Spades from the standard Black Roses decks. I know that sounds absurd. But over the years, it has become such an iconic part of the deck that I don't think I could design a worthy replacement. It just belongs to the deck - even if there might be more impressive Aces out there. :D
