There are two main methods to apply foil to playing cards: cold foil, which allows for extremely fine detail, and hot foil.
For the longest time, hot foil wasn't an option for me, as most printers I spoke with had the issue of the foil leaving an unwanted embossing effect on the back - something I definitely wanted to avoid.
WJPC is the first manufacturer I found that handles hot foil correctly. Thanks to them, I was finally able to use hot foil for my latest Kickstarter decks. It not only produces richer, deeper colors but also offers a more intense shine.
Since hot foil can't reproduce very fine lines as precisely, I took the opportunity to redraw the Red Roses back design with slightly bolder, cleaner lines - ensuring that no detail gets lost and the gold foil shines even more brilliantly on the final product.
I started and finished a few days ago, but yesterday I started redrawing a lot of details again.... I just want to make sure every detail looks right. As you can see, days of work went into details that you barely notice in the end, so I wanted to share a few before and after pictures with you here:

Thanks a lot for your support!
Much love
