A few days ago I finished a drawing that I started 5 years ago. I have a great fascination for drawings that have been redrawn from a different angle. You can see from the Muffin deck that I have already implemented this idea in a deck.
I've always wanted to draw all the court cards from the other side as well, but someone beat me to it since a deck like that already exists.

As I said, I started drawing the Innocence Ace of Spades from the front in 2019. My intention in drawing the woman was to focus on the aesthetics and the art rather than the sexual aspect. The depiction was inspired by the art, not by any suggestive intent. As with all my work, my goal was to capture elegance and form, grounded in artistic expression.
But that was precisely the reason I stopped drawing at a certain point, as I couldn't make progress with a more 'toned-down' version. Without lying to myself, any version other than the current one simply wouldn’t have been 100% authentic.

I want to emphasize that I have no plans to include this drawing in a future Innocence deck. It's a bit too provocative for that and would miss the mark. Anyway, I don't want to rule out for all eternity that this card might make it into a deck at some point. But there aren't any concrete plans at the moment.
I'm very proud of this drawing, but I held off sharing it for a few days, unsure if it might be off-putting to some. That would likely be the case if I had shared it on Instagram. However, I believe everyone here is sensible enough to understand.
Thanks a lot for reading.
Much love
Daniel
