How to draw a face on a court card

I spent over an hour this afternoon writing a post explaining in detail how to draw a face on a playing card. Please keep in mind that English is not my native language and I therefore check every text several times. Then I set this post to a specific time so that more of you would see it. But Patreon somehow managed to delete this planned post completely. Unfortunately, this is not the first time something like this has happened to me.

Please forgive me for not having the nerve to write everything down again in such detail. :D But I still want to show you the different steps.

Over the weekend I started to draw the x-decks team on court cards. I started with Skyler (@3decksdesigns).

Btw, pick up the Black Roses Casino V1 deck 🌝
https://www.x-decks.com/?s=black+roses

I don't really draw the outline first, but remove everything else around it.

After that I place it next to my redrawn standard court to get it in the right size.

In the next step I redraw everything with the line tool, to get clean lines.

The whole thing looks like this at some point. I like to copy and paste everything before I start the next detail, so that I can simply start again if I don't like it.

In the end, this is the finished card. Of course, it takes a lot of time to draw everything neatly. But these are the roughest steps. I sat on this card for a little longer than 2 hours.

That's something I wrote in the first text :D I use Paint Shop Pro (my alternative to Photoshop) for the first outlines and for the rest Corel Draw (instead of Adobe Illustrator). Actually, it makes more sense to use the Adobe programs, because this is common practice everywhere. But I've been using Paint Shop Pro since I was 11 years old. I'm used to it and that's why I find other programs difficult to use. But Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro isn't even necessary. Everything can be done in Corel Draw or Illustrator. Other programs may also work. It's only important that you can vectorize everything.

what program do you usually use in designing and waht not?
