Quick update first about the Black Polyanthas. The cards arrived at the Murphy's Magic warehouse last Friday. It's very likely that the decks will be shipped from the beginning of the week.

In 2019 when Madison and I started to work on the Remedies, Madison asked me if we could add Suzan as a Queen. At the time, I couldn't get my head around the idea. On one side I thought it would be too silly and too far away from a serious deck for magicians that we want to create. On the other hand, I had no idea how to implement it.
Not long after that, Haris Arya drew Suzan as a Queen of Spades. I wanna be honest, I'm not the biggest fan of custom face drawings on court cards from other people. In the end, there are always too many details that are simply not implemented properly. But I remember I was more than pleasantly surprised by Haris' drawing.
He did something where I thought it wasn't possible.
At the beginning of this year Madison asked me again if I could draw Suzan as a Queen for his own decks. With Haris' card in mind I knew it's not impossible so I simply started to work on the card. The final result is so far away from a standard looking court card, so usually not something I strive for. But I couldn't be happier with the result. The recognition value and the silliness make it.
Currently we are working on the next Remedies variation. I'll reveal the color very soon, but that deserves its own post. It's a very uncommercial color. But at the same time, that gives me a little bit of freedom to fool around a little more. Suzan will become the Queen of Hearts in this deck.

If you look close you can see a 9 of Clubs reveals on the body. I simply love to create hidden reveals like this one on court cards.
I chose to draw Suzan on the Queen of Hearts and not on the Queen of Spades like Haris did. With the already existing Queen of Spades, I was in danger of being too inspired by Harya's work.
Let me know what you think in the comments. I'm always interested to read what you think.
A lot happened this month. I designed the next Christmas Orbit deck and another Orbit deck where I didn't had to design that much... I know, it's just funny when you know the design but you will surely still see it this year. I also redesigned a famous court card and couldn't be more proud of the result. It should be possible to show it to you very soon. Unfortunately, I couldn't post about all that, because it's not only my own work. But I promise more design updates of my own decks in the next few weeks.
Thanks for reading, but even more thanks for your support!
Much love
Daniel
