Innocence Holographic Edition

First things first - if everything works out the way I envision, the Innocence holo deck will be the deck for my next Kickstarter campaign. Most likely this fall.

It's been almost a year since I talked about the Innocence holo deck idea for the first time in this post. Quite a few things have changed since then.

I had to part with my original idea and look for a new company to produce this deck with me. Of course my first thought was USPCC. They inspected the back design and told me that the dots would be too thin for their MetalLuxe foil. I should make the whole design a bit thicker. I don't think I need to mention that changing my artwork just to fit their specifications is absolutely not an option for me. This put USPCC out of the running.

There are still a lot of contingencies but the Innocence holo deck will have the same finish and stock like the Black Polyanthas. So you'll be able to check out the card quality very soon.

I'm currently working on getting the prototye decks done. Ten prototype decks cost around $600. Quite a lot money but I also wanna make sure that the holo effect really looks powerful on the back. There is a small chance that it doesn't work at all as I imagine it. Then I would have to say goodbye to the Innocence holo idea. So let's hope for the best.

I love the silver paper inside of the Cold Foil Hotel tuck box so much that it was no question for me to use holographic paper inside the Innocence tuck box. Discreet from outside and in your face when you open the tuck :D

The court cards, Ace of Spades and the Jokers will also get holo foil. So there will be cold foil on both sides. I want to replace the grey color on the courts with holo foil. As you can see on the render, it could look pretty extreme. Another reason why I need the prototypes first.

I'm thinking about making 2-3 prototype decks available for you. More about it in the next few weeks.
