Early stages of the Remedies

As a Patron I would be so incredibly happy to see this... :D

Here are some concepts or earlier designs before we got to the final deck design of the Madison x Schneider Remedies.

Feathers and roses, spread all over the back - that was one of the first main ideas for our deck. Luckily we quickly came to the conclusion that a more simplistic deck is all we really want.

On the first card in the image above you see an attempt to make it a bit more... detailed? I don't even know what I did there to be honest. However, the second card was our final deck design for a few days.

You might could think the Ace of Spades is a lazy design work. But I've put a lot more work into this Ace than it looks like. I've chosen this shape so that it is really visible for everybody that we continue a great series of cards and I'm so proud that I can do this. I didn't have the original Madison Ace of Spades file so I just took the Rounders Ace from Google Images. I vectorized the image to get the shape, smoothed all edges and measured everything exactly with a ruler. The result is an even cleaner looking Madison Ace of Spades pip compared to the original ones.

Here are some other Joker ideas which we might still use in the future. The last Joker is the one that also made it into the final deck.

After a few days I wasn't really happy anymore with our back design and I designed this. Madison loves it as much as I do and I'm pretty sure that this will also become reality sooner or later.

I want you to see how much work we really put into this deck. It's not just "another Madison logo deck" done in a few minutes/hours.

I'm happy to hear what you think.

This is an awesome insight to what actually goes into designing a deck! Very much appreciate this post! I guess we are almost one in the same, in regards to things being perfect, "I vectorized the image to get the shape, smoothed all edges and measured everything exactly with a ruler." I was recently given a logo from someone and was allowed to vectorize it, but I am not quite used to the program I use occasionally and put it into a CAD program, but some of the angles were not perfect. Anyway, I completely understand how some of us, when designing something can be extremely picky. The last picture would have made for an awesome double face card! Could you just make a GAFF deck? Maybe with different reveals. One that came to mind was having a Charlie Joker with nothing, then a Charlie Joker with the 9D Rose reveal.

This is cool. I really like the end result. Nice to see the process.

Definitely but 🤫👀

It's always fun to see the earlier stages in a deck. People don't really realise how much work there is in just a minimalistic design like this one. Oh and that final design... I WANT IT!

That is interesting. Beautiful line of progression. Any of those are excellent! Is there a possibility for a black colorway in Remedies by chance?👀

I love seeing the different stages this deck went through! But man that final design is gorgeous! 😍 I would love seeing that deck become a reality one day! I will be first in line! 🤟

Seeing the process is always great. To see where just an idea, a concept, grows step by step. And then to finally land on the finished product. Love it
