Assetbar Archive: Tomorrow's Recipe is Chicken

This was in the old Acheworld/Assetbar folder with the date of April 28, 2009. So, I don't know why it has the date of 2005. Maybe you do. (Maybe you do?) Anyhow, there used to be a running "joke" where I'd say I would post a recipe about chicken, but then I wouldn't, and people would pretend to be upset about it, and it was a big source of bonding. Or maybe they were actually upset—it's hard to tell what's happening with people on the Internet. Maybe when it (the Internet) is finally over, we can all just be like, "Oh, I didn't mean any of that."

This comic strip was my way of finally saying a chicken recipe. I actually know some really good chicken recipes at this point, but I don't want to get into it. This is not an advertisement for the Achewood Cookbooks (which you can download from our shop here on the Patreon desktop site), but it almost became one. That would have been slimy.

Poll: Is it more fun to say "slimey"? I think it might be, but I wanted to ask. I like writing "tastey" instead of tasty, to see if people are paying attention.

Comments

This chicken is honest-cooked, with a tender crust and firm filling. It has been well moistened with natural juices and good country sugar.

I love it when Roast Beef has just had it.

Man, thanks for bringing this to my attention, now they both look wrong. I'm going to change my vote to "sleezy".

Worth the wait.

Lord, please don't forget that endocrine system

*The fuck is "vim"?

Rob Dalton

Back when we were "young" and full of "vim*" and didn't yet know the world had gone to shit.

Rob Dalton

Callbacks to the early days of Achewood make me happey.

Rob Dalton

However if you use the recipe on fish as OP then you can use the fish in the ice cream for fish ice cream like in Venezuela.

Vin Crespi

Warning does not work on ice cream.

Vin Crespi

Slimey is more slimy. So yes.

Vin Crespi

Thank you for demystifying the art of roasting a chicken for us all.

Adam M.

Oh lord do not throw raisins. All hell will break loose.

Julie (HiDeeHoGal)

I always throw raisins everywhere when I want to get fancy. Recipe or no.

Shawn Clark

I have used this recipe. Also works on fish

John Krane

Maybe it first ran on Serializer in 2005?
