The New Yorker "Sandwich Duel" (see full PDF below)

I wrote and illustrated the following twelve pieces (see PDF below) for a series that The New Yorker’s Zach Kanin (SNL, I Think You Should Leave With Tim Robinson) and I co-wrote in 2008. The series chronicles the ongoing war between our respective sandwich shops. Though his shop was in Manhattan and mine was in Silicon Valley, we were bitterly determined to outdo one another. This project ended up being some of my favorite writing that I’ve ever done.

I can only show my half of the series here, but even without seeing Zach’s entries, I think you will agree that these are the better half.

You can also read Zach’s interview with me here:

I’ve been enjoying Froskas since first reading this in 2008 (after buying more decanters). No frickin’ carbs! Thank you, Chris. This is one of your very best.

I got as far as Froska and died laughing so I'm gonna need a quick rez before I finish this.

Damn, Zach Kanin has been a legend since always then. ITYSL is probably my favourite comedy show of all time.
