Holiday Sale 2018 (Christmas)

 // Update March-15, 2019: I bought the "golden" dice last year, but I mixed up the names of the dice and was wondering why the sale of the new dice were so low compared to the "old" dice. I corrected the post. Thanks to Michael for the hint!

I know this post is late, but I will catch up the missing sales soon.

Similar to last year, we had a Holiday Season Sale (Christmas) in 2018. It happened on the 25th of December and was at least for me (Germany) later in the night. In 2017 it was 6 hours earlier... Nevertheless, we are all happy that a new sale appeared!

Prior to the Analyzis

I LOVE THE WINTER DEATH DICE! 

They look great! Those are my favorite dice of the entire dice collection. I have to say also, that mine Holiday Death Dice from last year doesn't look as shiny and colorful like on the product picture above. But they are not bad at all. 

The Special Pin Up Twilight Knight were sold also last year. I don't know why, but I had massive problems to assemble the model correct. Especially with the hair. I still can remember, that I missed to add one piece prior to glue the other ones. After that I had a hard time to position the missing part...

The Thief looks amazing! I'm not the only one who thinks that (you will find out later!)

Santa Satan came with two models and a small suprise!

Analyzis

I have analyzed the data from December-25 to January-03. After that, the models were not on the store anymore (except of the Winter Death Dice, which is still available).

Total Sales

7k items sold in this time, which results to $265k in sales.

Compared to the Halloween sale, it is a bit of bummer. Halloween was 11k items with $386k total sales.

I'm not sure, if this is related to the Christmas time, were a lot of money were spent already for presents?! Let us find out next year, when we can do a year-on-year comparison.

Interesting is, that the best seller was the Winter Death Dice with 2165 items. But it was on sale for nearly 3 month. Santa Satan were not sold out, but with 2159 items in 2 weeks and the highest sale with nearly $130k it is the secret winner of this sale.

There was no "First Run" this sale, which typically "first run" out of stock :) So it was a bit relaxed!

As you see, only 2 items wer sold out quick, while the others remain for weeks.

The winner this time are the Holiday Death Dice, were 490 items sold out in 1:49 hours. Followed by the Thief, were 955 items sold out in 2:18 hours.

The Xmas  Pinup Twilight Knight was on sold already last year, that is why it most likely were not sold out this time.

Holiday White Speaker Nico were also sold in 2016?!

Nevertheless, the two "new" items which were not sold out in time were Santa Satan and Winter Death Dice. We will most likely see next year round about 750 items of Santa Satan and a few hundreds Winter Dice, which were not sold this year.

This time, there was also no mentionable restock, like the last time.

Highlights

Due to the fact, that only 3 items were new, of which 2 were sold very quick, I focused the graph this time to the hightlights only. As you see, the Thief has a higher sell rate than the Dice.

But let us compare the dice now!

On my initial release of this post I mixed up the Winter Death Dice and the Holiday Death Dice and I was confused, why the new release had such a small initial stock and why the old dice were sold quick... Thankfully Michael corrected me here. So the picture is as expected now:

The Holiday Death Dice were sold already last year, that is why the sell rate is lower and the stock was lower too. 

In my point of view, the Winter Death Dice look fantastic and the sale rate is matching here at least with my opinion: 

In my point of view, the Winter Death Dice looks fantastics, like the Thief and Poots sold a lot of those 2 items.

It seems like there is a slight movement from "I buy everything" to "I buy only those which looks great (or deliver new game content)". I will check thesis in the next sale.

Bots?

Like the last sale, the first items were sold within 1:20 minutes (  Santa Satan, Thief, Xmas Special Pinup Twilight Knight). It is quick but possible, when you are already locked in and your payment method is saved. The sale picks up significantly drive after 3 minutes and is usually in full speed after 5 mintutes. It is a similar picture in here.
