2023 new year newsletter

Happy New year's everyone! If you told me a year ago that I would be making fetish art as a side hustle I wouldn’t believe you, but I guess 2022 was finally the year I improved my skills to accomplish that. I’m not the kind of person who sets goals or resolution for myself (blame the American education system for that) I just kind of do things on impulse and see where things take me. I find that my most impulsive decisions tend to be the most successful while anything that’s presented as a goal tends to fail. My guess is goal tend to have a lot of steps to them making them harder to keep up with as well as feel like I have less control over them (again blame the American education system) while impulse decisions are in the moment. No planning, no steps, no one telling me what I need to do just me sitting down and telling myself what I’m going to do right now. While improving my skills to the point where I can monetize my work had been a goal for the last 11 years it was a sprue of the moment decisions to try a new program that made it happen and not working to achieve the goal itself that made it happen. So I guess if you want my advice don’t bother with new year's resolutions, just do it right now. “Do or do not, there is no try”.

Going into 2023 I do have one change to the Patreon rewards for supporters and that’s a longer early access period for new posts. Patrons will now have access to new post 5 days before DA and other platforms. A longer early access period was my original plane, but I wanted to hold back on it till I got things more established. Launching my Patreon only to have it followed by a week of silence on DA didn’t seem like a good Idea. The new early access will not include reward teasers, commissions done on DA, and any content that’s time sensitive and has a deadline for public release like seasonal/holiday content. Commission will also be opening up again mid-month with OC ref sheets being added to the list.

I hope 2023 will finally be the year things start to calm down and get back to normal. I know it’s probably asking for too much, but it feels like 2020 dragged on for far longer than just a single year. I think we could all use a break from the 2020 sequels. However I am looking forward to the year and hope to make even more improvements to my art.
