Been a rough month, update soon

Hey folks! Things did not quite go as planned this time around. Hoping I can get this all sorted and have an update out for y'all soon. Lost a good week to illness, according to the tests it wasn't covid but it sure did knock me on my ass sadly, one of the sickest I've been in a long time, been playing catch up since. My wife and baby got sick in turn, and its been bit of a mess at home lol

Anyways, we're all on on the up and up now, so I'm hoping to turn things around shortly.

Now, as to the update, hate to say it, but I won't have it out tonight, its just not in a meaningful state at the moment and I need a bit more time to wrap things up, particular on the content side as I got in deep with some mechanical additions.

Last poll folk voted for the clothing bursting mechanic which I was excited to implement, but it turned out to be a bit of an uphill battle as it required a lot more calculation and systems than I had first realized. It couldn't just piggy back on the existing item system because clothing items needed to come in a dynamic variety and have a much more indepth array of stats to accommodate different body sizes and breaking points.

That said, after a swath of additions to the system I can happily say the clothing & equipment wearing and bursting works swimmingly and I'm excited to share it, but, here's were the issue lies. The accompanying content that actually makes these mechanical additions enjoyable outside of debug tests, just aren't finished yet. I need to write out all the bursting scenes for the various parts of each clothing and I need to finish what I started with a new tailor character that'll be central to getting new clothes and adjusting them to fit your character as needed.

Here's a quick little concept doodle I did of her earlier in the month. Kind of a mean and teasing spider woman, she'll bully the player a bit while sizing them up whenever they happen to pop too many buttons and stitches haha

 

Anyways, thank you again as always for your stalwart support and I hope to have this update out soon! Going to try and be a little more proactive in talking about my game dev stuff here as well. I mostly ramble about it on my discord server because I don't want to clog the feed up in here, but I think its only fair that if I'm not getting an update out I at least start dev logging here and there ~
