I've begun work has begun on Damsels 1.05, and I'm pleased with the progress so far. The next steps in Damsels present some interesting programming challenges. The next few releases will be primarily be about what happens after you defeat the lich king, where you will have a choice of 4 objectives to pursue. Of course, you may choose to pursue all 4 objectives in turn... far be it from me to stop you! :) Two of them are primarily combat oriented, and the other two primarily involve accomplishing certain things with your harem.

It's pretty unlikely that all four will be enabled in 1.05. It may be that there is only one, and that the others will be releases over the next few versions. I'll include whatever I've gotten finished at a level that I think is enjoyable. I don't expect that will take 4 versions worth or releases, as some of them involve less programming than others.

It is possible, perhaps likely, that I will *not* release 1.05 on the usual two week schedule. The changes will require a lot of testing, and my time has been more limited this last week than usual. Despite Labor Day, I expect that to persist the next two weeks or so. I'll be working hard on this when I can, but I'll project a release for 9/17. If it's at a good place earlier, I'll release it earlier. I would expect the release of 1.06 to resume the usual schedule and be out on October 1.

Strange Gift... is another story. That project is in hiatus for now. It's too big a project to be a side project, but I don't think the time has been wasted. I may use some of the code, renders, etc. for a smaller project or projects, or I may simply resume working on it when I have more time.
