It's Sean Connery, Timothy Dalton, and Daniel Craig's favourite bond movie.
It's the last movie JFK ever saw.
But is it any good?
Join your favourite all-trans triumvirate as we ask: Who is Bond, compared with Kronsteen?
Also just realized Red Grant is Quint from Jaws

The scene where Bond gives Moneypenny a signed photo of another woman reminds me of the scene in the Disney Channel Original movie "The Thirteenth Year", where the main character's girlfriend gives him a signed photo of her own face for his birthday.

Not gonna lie, Devon saying “I love you, romantically” over smooth jazz was a great consolation prize for missing out on the last 10 minutes of the original recording.

Also for future reference, the website Melon Farmers (ignore their weird culture war libertarian bent) has a great page detailing all the cuts made to the James Bond films before their original releases. The BBFC would almost always demand cuts during editing that persist to this day. It's a great look into the hang-ups of the British psyche at any given time. In the case of From Russia With Love they were convinced to only make minor cuts to violence, but slashed out a whole bunch of innuendo https://melonfarmers.co.uk/hitscr.htm

A couple of actor notes - Robert Shaw would go on to play Quint in Jaws! And Klebb was played by Lotte Lenya, the legendary actor/singer who originated the role of Pirate Jenny in the first stage production of Brecht's Threepenny Opera. Seriously, look up her performance of that song she's incredible.

Yo I'm loving the show. I know it's not totally Bond adjacent but if y'all are looking for bonus-episode ideas, I think the three of you tearing apart the 1980 masterpiece FFOLKES (NORTH SEA HIJACK) would be a lot of fun. Once you're in the Roger Moore era, of course ;)
