Status Update - February 2021

SilentPatch for Yakuza Remastered Collection
Last month, I mentioned that Yakuza Remasters have been released and that I will be looking into them. I ended up releasing two builds of the patch, supporting Yakuza 3, 4, and 5, where I managed to reduce the CPU usage (beyond what QLOC did via an official patch) and fixed a few rare crashes. DuckStation
- PL localization update - once again updated the Polish translation. With DuckStation still adding new features, such translation passes are bound to happen from time to time and I already know I will need to make such a pass this month too because of the recent addition of achievements!
- Save State UI: Add legend showing hotkeys - I lost count of how many times I forgot if the save states are saved with F1 or F2, pressed the wrong key, and lost progress =( With this PR, it should never happen again as the save state UI now has a legend.
Ultimate ASI Loader
- Fix for a vanishing .bind section - when working on Yakuza 4, I observed an oddity in regards to the Steam DRM that defeated UAL. I submitted a fix for this, as else I would be unable to inject SilentPatch in the game's DRM'd executable!
What's next?
I have a few plans for March, but nothing is set in stone yet. I've been neglecting Cxbx-Reloaded lately and there are a few things I would like to look into, and Yakuza 6 port is to be released by the end of the month. Knowing what Yakuza Kiwami 2 (and now those remasters) are like, I will most likely need to look into that game too. Sadly, QLOC does not seem to learn from their past mistakes, and my attempts to contact them have so far been unsuccessful.
