PitSkill - Season 23 Core Series Announcement
Added 2024-09-06 08:14:13 +0000 UTCHello Everyone,
We've been hard at work, thinking about the best way to make the PitSkill:CORE Series work for everyone, for those of you who don't know, the PitSkill:CORE series are our series where the "core" event organisers are involved in creating and ensuring they match the most popular racing on the platform, aimed at providing a progressional level from our daily racing system, into league events and onto the broadcasts here at PitSkill!
Our goal for the upcoming season is to help drivers grow competitively without excluding anyone who improves over time. Instead of restricting drivers who reach a higher skill level, we want to give everyone the opportunity to continue racing in their championship. With this in mind, we've developed a solution that begins with our Saturday Series.

Saturday - GT3 Open
Many of you may remember the original weekend warrior series – a relaxed but competitive complement to the Wednesday league. After several iterations, we're returning to its roots, emphasizing a "casual yet competitive" atmosphere. This series will be open to everyone, much like real-life Chess Opens, where anyone can participate as long as they meet basic entry requirements.
The series is designed for those looking for large, action-packed grids. If the demand is high, we’ll implement competitive splits to ensure fair distribution among participants.
Race Format
Weather and Strategy mirroring the GT3 Elite Series.
P: 5, Q: 20, R: 60
There is no Split Licence Plate qualifying for this series, everyone qualifies together!
Splits, 50 cars max per split.
Entry Requirements
10+ PitRep Required.
No PitSkill requirement!

Sunday - GT3 AM Academy
We’d also like to announce that the Sunday Amateurs series has been replaced by the Patreon Sunday Selection. This new format will introduce a race concept that lasts the entire season, allowing our Patreon supporters to submit ideas, vote on the race format, and enjoy a consistent and exciting event each Sunday throughout the season.
Rookies, don't worry, we have you covered!
In addition, we’ve developed a new splitting mechanism for our daily events.
Rookie drivers who form a competitive grid will be placed in their own split until they gain enough PitRep to race with those who have 5+ PitRep.
As always, all splits will be based on PitSkill to ensure fair competition.
Wednesday - GT3 Elite Series
We’re excited to unveil the upcoming GT3 Elite series, which will be the ultimate battleground for competitive racing, whether you're in Split 1 or one of the newly introduced splits. This series is designed to be the one every driver aspires to compete in, offering challenges at every level.
Split Structure and Format
Split 1: Top 30-35 drivers with live stewarding and streaming.
Splits 2+: Max size of 50 drivers per split.
£500 Prize Pool for Split 1’s top 5 drivers.
Prize Raffles will be added at signup milestones, starting at 70 drivers, and will be open to all drivers who attend 8 out of 10 rounds, regardless of their split!
Entry Requirements
Minimum 10+ PitRep
PitSkill requirement to be announced once the new website goes live so as not to confuse anyone!
Signups and Key Dates
Signups open exclusively to Patreon members on September 12th, 2024.
General public signups open on September 19th, 2024.
All drivers who sign up before the first week will be registered for every round, but can sign out of any they cannot attend.
Signups will be hidden, so you won’t know your competition until the first race.
We’re implementing this to give everyone an equal chance to get involved, ensuring splits have the best possible grid sizes while maintaining a highly competitive Split 1. With the new ranking system, drivers will be able to move between splits during the season, and points will be transferable—so no matter where you move, your progress will follow.
The more drivers that join, the bigger the prize pool, the better the competition and more merchandise will be up for grabs—for everyone, not just Split 1 wins prizes on PitSkill!
So rally your friends, and let’s make this the biggest season yet!
Season Awards
The season will close with an award ceremony, which will be broadcasted on twitch.tv/pitskillio.
The following awards will be up for grabs from the GT3 Elite and Open, adding more excitement to the competition:
Most Improved
Cleanest Driver
Driver of the Season
Best Livery
Everyone will have the chance to get involved, and submit a driver they think is deserving for many categories!
We’ll have a shortlist for each award where all participants can vote for their favorites, we'll also have some hard-fixed awards, where drivers across the platform will receive their prizes from up until Week 10, like most races driven with more than 10 drivers, and other awards, so get involved in racing, and you might win some accolades!
Additionally, drivers can submit their own suggestions for a "stand-out" driver of the season for voting.
Closing Words
We can't wait for next season to kick off, and remind you, that the ranking system will be re-calculated for next season, so get involved in as many races as possible, to ensure you're matched in the right splits and fuel that competitiveness, as what currently shows, will not be your ranking next season!
