S18 - Wednesday League - Votes - Round 1

Hello everyone,

We've taken your comments on board and have come up with some new solutions; please VOTE FOR the changes which you wish to be applied to the league; you can vote on as many options as you want; if we don't receive 15 votes on the change, it will not pass (we have decided this number based on 1/3rd of the attendance at the current point in the championship).

So ensure you vote on a change you wish to be implemented; otherwise it won't change from this season.

Track Votes will be posted once these votes are complete, in one week's time; if you have any further ideas for options on this poll, please POST THEM IN THE COMMENTS, as we may do them before the track votes.

This poll will close in 7 days time.

-------

Pre-Decided Changes:

- Wednesday League WILL be B Class.

- Server will open 15 minutes earlier for practice, with qualifying starting at the current server opening time.

- Patreons Will have ~2 weeks to sign up for the championship before public members.

- If drivers failed to attend a round and do not sign out of said round; they will have 48hrs after the attendance register is posted to let us know why they failed to sign out, and without notification within the admin tickets, they will be removed.

-------

Option 1

Minimum Split Grid Sizes

Minimum Split Grid Sizes will mean that with under 50 drivers signed up at the start of the season, there will only be one 40-car grid based on PitSkill rankings.

The lowest 10 PitSkill drivers will be moved into the "reserves" for the championship, and no new members will be able to sign up.

If there are above 50 drivers, the grid will be split into 2 groups of at least 25 at the start of the season, allowing for new members to sign up.

The alternative, is the same as this season, where as if there are over 40 drivers, it will be split into 2 splits.

You are voting for: Minimum Split Grids/Maximum Signups.

Option 2

Pit Format Change

The current format is 60-minute races with a mandatory stop for fuel, this voting change is to set the format to 60-minute races with one mandatory stop for tyres.

You are voting for: A change in pit format.

Option 3

Live Stewarding

This vote is to allow you to vote whether you prefer live stewarding; or would rather trust having the league at B Class and having post-race incidents using the standard protesting system that is currently in place for all races; with time penalties applied based on outcomes.

You are voting for: Changing to a Post-Race stewarding system.

Due to patreon limitations, the poll reference can't be updated, so you're voting to change the live stewarding system.

Option 4

Split Qualifying

The vote is for Qualifying to be split based on signups, or that if we have one grid of 40 cars, all 40 cars will have to "find space" to qualify if all 40 cars turn up that round, this will only happen if live stewarding happens and if the grid is above 30 drivers.

You are voting for: Split Qualifying.

Please read the above option explanations carefully before voting as "Live Stewarding" actually relates to a CHANGE in how live stewarding works.

Comments

Its just that not taking tyres is so much faster. Its not an option to take tyre strat. But you can save 5 seconds by not taking tyres. Defend for yo life

Jeroen Moerman

Not taken part in a Wednesday but if you have a mandatory tyre stopped wouldn't that reduce the strategy options and reduce risk/reward type situ of taking tyres vs not. Something might have happened I don't know about ss apologies if that's the case

Andrew Hudson

I think with the league being B Class, most incidents will come down to "racing incidents", rather than needing penalties, if drivers feel like they need penalties, they will report them, is personally how I saw it. Plus, it allows more of our Live Stewards to get involved and race instead of having to live steward; but obviously if drivers prefer the live stewarding, then that's fine too!

Terry Farish

It is nicer to have live stewarding, but as long as the results can br changed post race (not only pR penalties, but also time penalties!) it is not that a big deal
