i get what pg is saying abt thoughts controlling reality. its the concept of social constructs. we all follow the law and the constitution not because a piece of paper has power, but because we all decided to think this same thing. if you live your life around the fact that a rapture will happen, then that is your reality. whether or not the rapture is real, it was real to a certain extent in how it affected the real world. like how gender is real but still isnt something you can touch (nothing biologically determined that girls like pink and boys like blue, we just decided as a society that that was a real thing). our names are the same. nothing physically indicates or proves that your name is Berlin. it is what your mom decided to call you and what you decided to keep calling yourself and what everyone calls you. and it is real and that name will always exist to describe you and that is real, simply because we said so. and the rapture is real because we say it is and live our life according to its rules.
