What a messy girl! Flash fiction sneak-peak
Added 2018-03-29 13:00:01 +0000 UTCA romantic evening? It's not going to plan:
"You haven’t eaten much.”
“No-oh.” She had giggled again, at herself this time, at the whining quality in her voice. Not very romantic, but there had been a challenge, and she stabbed the chicken breast and raised it to her mouth, chewing at it and laughing, making hungry noises.
“Manners,” her husband had said softly.
She had smirked at him over the chicken, wiping at her chin with her arm. She’d eat it all, she’d make it all gone like a hungry, hungry hippo, and the idea made her laugh and drop her fork - splash! - butter sauce on her dress, and then she had pouted at the stain, wiping at it with greasy little fingers.
“Stop,” her husband had pleaded, but he hadn’t been angry. In fact, when she had looked up at him, she had seen him grinning, which was understandable, because she was being funny. She was a funny girl.
