November review & prints

So, first month of running the "Wanderer tier". And here are all the models I managed to complete during the month ( with the Tankbots being represented by a single model, as I ended up having to rework a couple of details, and I havent had time to reprint his mates yet).

Couple of thoughts in review. No 1. being "thank you for your support". because I´ll never get tired of saying that. 2nd thought is that a month goes by quickly, especially when you are a single parent. I had to fit in a few commission at the start of the month, which meant I didnt have time to start proper on the Patreon models until halfway through week 2, and the rest of the month has been me playing catch up.

Lesson learned is that there is a lot of potential here for working on my own range, everything has been well received and I have had quite good sales throughout the month. So if I want to continue building out the IOL Minis range, I will have to commit to it fulltime.

I think I will be more comfortable having a bit more lead time on releases, so I have decided to go ahead and pause the Patreon billing for December. I am doing this to buy myself a little time to review further, get an early start on the January releases, and sort out some commission work that also needs doing, so it won´t cause delays later.

But don´t worry too much about missing out. Now you have plenty of time to get those November minis printed out and painted before I chuck more stuff at you :D And if you are following the Patreon, I will be continuing with posts and updates throughout December, and there may even still be a Christmas present in it for you all 🎁

- PS: If you are one of my marvelous merchants, you have my permission to keep selling models throughout December. Good luck with the Christmas sales :)

Thats a good question! ( and really deserves its own article or video one day..) But I print my miniatures on a Phrozen Sonic Mini 4K, at 35um ( or 0.03mm) I have been using Resione M58 Tough resin mixed with a bit of flex resin for stability. I am currently printing using Ameralabs TGM-7, a resin formulated specifically for miniatures. The above miniatures are printed using these two resins. The Resione resin gives slightly higher detail, but the Ameralabs one has better tensile properties.. choices, choices..

Sonny, what layer height are you printing at? I'm still a rookie at this and your stuff is so crisp.

Take all the time you need Sonny. You've been knocking it out of the park so far!
