I don't know if y'all have been following my commentary on the watch along but I absolutely love that at the beginning the intro/outro was just a filler part of the watch thru but now you both get into it, insane music from aot

Not complaining, but when you wait week after week, month after month, year after year for new releases you connect to the story and characters far deeper than you do when you can just binge watch. If, you had waited 8+ years to get here, you know who Samuel and Daz actually were and you live with Conny, Armin and everyone else for years

It's that palpable regret, like, "couldn't this have gone another way, any other way, because I desperately wish that it had." I'm playing Hundred Line right now (a video game with 100 different endings) so that comment resonates extra hard, lol

Samuel was saved by Sasha back in season 1 when the Colossal Titan appeared on the walls when Eren and the gang were cleaning cannons. Daz was rescued by Ymir in Season 2 when Historia, Daz and Ymir got caught in a blizzard.
