Btw, these days, open caskets are much more of an American thing than they are a Catholic thing. Historically, yes, they were common in Catholicism worldwide, but nowadays, you're much more likely to see an open casket at a US Evangelical or Baptist funeral than at a European Catholic one. It's become much more cultural and regional than denominational.
Personally, as someone from Europe, I always found it very odd seeing these open casket funerals in American movies and TV shows. To some degree I respect it, facing death that openly, on the other hand, the corpses are always so artificially made up that it's really creepy to me, very uncanny valley. It seems like you're not really looking at the dead person, you're just looking at a face of make-up. Plus, I feel like open casket clashes weirdly with the otherwise fairly repressed, tabooized American conservative culture.

The little girl playing Jackie Jr at chess always makes me laugh. This was a guy who could only manage three letter words in Scrabble, he never stood a chance.

I think Tony's attitude toward his son makes perfect sense in a way. In Jackie he sees a young man who he told off many times, tried to correct his behaviour, and he just shrugs it off and keeps being an idiot until it gets him killed even though he had every opportunity in the world.
Anthony son isn't that much younger. He's probably genuinely afraid for him.

You guys were kinda right about what this season was. The theme of S3 is fatherhood. The season starts with tension between Meadow and Tony and we see the relationship change between Tony and Christopher, whom he views as another son, once he becomes made. Then in the second half of the season the conflict starts with Jackie Jr, whom again, Tony views as another son, plus the problems with AJ getting kicked out of school. This show does an amazing job of dropping a scene or two that lay out the groundwork for the next season in the season finale. I won’t spoil it, I’ll just say it was a “conversation” between Tony and Carmella

What a great season, especially considering they had to completely change their plans when Nancy Marchand, the actor who played Livia Soprano, passed away.
