I'm very thankful that yall watch the end credits. When I was a kid I watched reruns of this show 100s of times and memorized the lyrics to the real folk blues long before I ever learned a word of Japanese. I could totally karaoke that song today still although it would have to be the show version and not the full length version.

2026-01-19 06:27:10 +0000 UTCRandom comment on your mid episode comment, Korean might be easier to an extent because the written language is pretty quick to learn and phonetic. So even if you dont know the words your are seeing in korean, you could sound them out within a day of practice. Other than that, I would say picking up a language would still be easier if you are consuming alot of that content pretty often. So if you arent watching or listening to a lot of korean, it would slow you down. So I would say ultimately pick the one you have the most passion for and interest in the overall culture. It really helps you pick it up faster imo.

You just got your first glimpse of Spike's past, and along with it, a big over-arching theme of this show. Everyone on this show has a past, that they're running from, or trying to find, or in complete denial of. But sooner or later, the past always comes back for you, no matter what.

I've been saving it for 15 years since I got a copy of the show and went through marking off the episodes I saw on adult swim, i'm saving it for my deathbed or the best day of my life. I already know what happens basically but I will always have one more episode of Bebop. Glad you guys are enjoying the show.
