Starbuck smoking cigars is another reach back to the original series, as that was an affectation of the original Starbuck, played by Dirk Benedict. (Hers is bigger though, as one might expect)

Remember, Caprica 6 (that's how many people reference the instance of model #6 that Baltar knew on Caprica) said that there are 12 models, and that she's #6? Well, you've now met models 2 (Leoben), 5 (Doral), and 8 (Boomer and the instance who came aboard Ragnar Station at the very end of the miniseries). Just eight more to go. :-)
