He watched his dad's episodes so he could get a feel for his dad's cadence in speaking lines. Noticing that his dad just seemed like he was having a blast on the show, he figured that since he was 30 years younger, he had to give young Garrett more energy and excitement. Also, Deke'd got a walkman like Star Lord which is a nod to how the fans thought he was Star-Lord when he first appeared in Season 5 wearing a similar looking helmet. Also, yeah, Nathaniel is the worst and that's why I love him. Unlike most of the villains, he has no layers or tragedies that makes us feel sympathy for him. He's just an entitled rich boy with daddy issues that he takes out on others. The dude made a big mistake killing Jiaying, because now Daisy has someone to avenge. Only three more episodes left.
