To be honest I think all the OVAs are important to rounding off the characters. Ilse's Notebook is especially important in terms of early world building, I don't even know why it's an OVA. It contains the first mention of the very important person that I can't even think of a hint for without dropping a spoiler, gives us lots of backstory regarding Hange and her motivations, and shows us Levi, Erwin and Hange in the early days. It's also just a really well done episode. The Lost Girls OVAs are also worth watcing. None of them are really essential, but certain things hit a lot harder if you've seen them.

2025-07-13 03:32:27 +0000 UTCI really hope that they at least watch the No Regrets OVAs. I can take or leave the others, but that one gives so much more depth to certain characters and makes season 3 that much more meaningful.
