Have any other fellow paying patrons realized/recognized that those earrings, which Kim's mother was shown as having shoplifted and gifted to her, are the same ones that ol' "Slippin' Kimmy" still frequently wears as an adult? There are at least several — if not many aplenty — scenes during episodes throughout the seasons whereby we get to see grownup Kim inserting them in her ear(s) and/or she can be spotted simply sporting them in general, including during this very episode of course.

2025-07-04 10:01:03 +0000 UTCthat opening is so heart breaking because imo Kim clearly does it hoping her mum would act like a mum should and when she yells at her and they leave I think part of her thinks she might have just a sliver of a normal mum only to have it revealed to be a scam right away and like you said she just immedately latches onto this pattern of schemes and conspiring being how close relationships function
