I can’t believe you guys are watching aot I just found you guys a couple weeks ago from avatar and I immediately thought you guys should watch aot due to how emotionally invested you guys get into shows and now it’s on the way!!! (Also I personally prefer subs)

2025-05-01 17:17:40 +0000 UTCI think that you should always watch a show in it's original language, whether it's animation or not. I feel like dub can never quite get the line delivery and emotions right compared to the original.

The tone and cadence of some of the characters change. They're close, but they're not what was originally intended.

2025-04-29 19:08:46 +0000 UTCSubs would be a huge mistake. Typically I wouldn’t say that, but for a reaction channel that doesn’t normally watch anime, dubs are the better choice. Also, the edits uploaded to YouTube will be borderline unwatchable. I know the poll is gonna go the way of subs because of purists, but it’s objectively the wrong choice.

2025-04-28 01:21:37 +0000 UTCI believe subs will keep Maple distracted enough to limit her from distracting Ariana by starting conversations about things unrelated to what's happening on the screen. And/or talking over dialogue/music scores that are meant to be HEARD as they are emotionally moving and add to the scene. Can't experience the art the way the artist intended if you aren't hearing the music that's accompanying the art. But that's just me. edit - Not trying to hate. A lot of what you say actually makes me laugh out loud. BUT the music!

2025-04-28 01:04:43 +0000 UTCI agree, if you're not used to reading subtitles then this could distract from the animation. I will say you should turn on subtitles if using the dub just so that you can read the intermission title cards, it has a lot of lore stuff on them.
