The unsullied indeed have their pillar and stones cut off completely

All men must die is the saying because there is only 1 God, the god of death

Fair enough. The politics are quite complex and interesting in the books but many book fans are also not a fan of that plotline because they don't really care about Meereenese politics, the focus of the story is Westeros. But like I said in a previous comment, this storyline mainly came to be because of the time jump that should have happened but never did. George originally planned a time jump of about 5 years after the events of season 4. So Dany should have spent 5 years off-page or off-screen learning how to be a ruler and how to do politics in Meereen before we see her embark to Westeros with her grown dragons. Since George scrapped the time jump, he just had to tell that story about the Meereenese politics because he couldn't just abandon Dany as a character until the endgame.

I felt like the entire Daenerys getting bogged down in Meereen politics storyline was just sort of meh. It wasn't consistent with her ambition to retake the Iron Throne and the whole white savior thing really started to get old.

How can it be a manufactured story when Crows and Wildlings have had conflicts with one another for centuries, a conflict that both sides have inherited. Jon has a rational pov because he has seen both sides but a Wildling will look at a White Walker and a man of the Nights Watch as two entities that want to kill them so peace is not a forgone conclusion. That's why Mance(who was a crow) just decided to take the Wall by force. Season 5 has filler, there was literally filler in this episode with certain other characters but the Nights Watch portion is not one of them.

I never really cared for the Grey Worm / Missandei romance. I feel like there's something interesting there in theory, like the concept of an Unsullied falling in love and how that would work, but I don't know, that storyline always seemed kind of boring and unnecessary to me. Maybe it's just overly cheesy and cloying for a cynic like me, I don't know. Oh and we do know that the Unsullied are indeed cut "root and stem", as Varys might say, so no, Grey Worm doesn't have a penis.

Ehh I don't know, it's maybe a bit awkwardly handled but I wouldn't say it's filler necessarily. I think what doesn't come across well in the show is just how many wildlings there are and that just the logistics alone of moving them south across one small gate is kind of ridiculous. Plus, most wildlings didn't really imagine coming south like this. Yes, they want to espace the White Walkers but they are obviously also overly proud and wanted to storm south, take it by force. Getting let across by a crow after being beaten by a southern king might seem like an insult to their dignity. I'm not saying it's the most rational thing to do but since when has this series been about rational people?

It's so nice to watch this episode and see where they seeded some of the future plots. There's a looot of stuff that happens here that has direct consequences or at least gets referenced in future episodes. The end theme during the credits is the shit too with those low piano notes, very suspenseful.

Targaryen alone in the world is indeed a terrible thing

"We getting a Last of Us here" Oh ladies, just wait

You've never seen Indiana jones? definitely should add that too the list! that'd get some good views.

On rewatches the Crow vs. Wildling conflict in the story feels manufactured. The entire reason the "free folk" claim they are moving south is to escape the white walkers. So refusing to cooperate for an entire season seems like ridiculous filler. I have only read the first book so forgive me. It's not even a Stannis thing because Mance and Jon acknowledged the real problem is the walkers, in like Season 3. IDK.

Valar Morghulis means "All men must die." Valar Dohaeris means "All men must serve." It is used a lot as a greeting Valar Morghulis is said then the reply is Valar Dohaeris.
