2025-01-12 22:11:35 +0000 UTCI know it doesn't make up for his behavior at all, but Nate's smile when looking at the article of Ted, Henry and Beard at the game is supposed to show his true feelings about Ted showing up to watch his game and I think Jade recognizes that (I know you've seen far enough at this point to see more of Jade's view on Ted and Nate). His response to Rupert is because he is still trying to hold onto that job that makes him feel powerful, and he knows that any indication of regret over his decisions will result in Rupert firing him. It would have been nice if they could have given two seasons to Nate's redemption arc, like they gave two seasons to his initial fall (Nate, while becoming more confident throughout Season 1, which is a positive growth for him, is already showing signs that he is not coping with popularity and approval well before that season ends)
