The best part of Jofferys death is he thinks the Tyrion did it. In his dying moments, he thinks he's facing the consequences of treating tyrion that way

Eric Wallace

Newest one came out this Friday!

Eric Wallace

Of course it wasn't Tyrion. I wonder who it could've been though...

Joe Blankenship

Surprisingly muted reaction to Joffrey's death. Most people want to throw a parade.

Jonathan Blaze

I don't know why are you guys annoyed by Tyrion being blamed here. He is set up as the scapegoat the entire show. He saved kings landing during the battle of blackwater and ruled wisely as the hand of the king, but when Tywin returned he basically degraded and berated him. Also his political games with Cersei for like 2 seasons make him the most obvious suspect here. They were having on open battle against each other and literally hate each other since forever. But if my reasonaning doesn't convince you then, let me tell you that season 4 of GOT is regarded as the best and thus one of the best seasons of television of all time, so don't be discouraged by it because you have one hell of a season in ahead of you.

Elesh

Watching this episode with strep throat.

Ryley

Get him theeee F***k outta here! 😊

BigTrev80s

Watching this when it aired was pure joy. No issue whatsoever with his Joffrey died. Take the win.

Maple asked I'm a Chef for Hospital Patients where I have to come up with recipes that work for a wide range of dietary needs. Thier a lot of restrictions like not cooking with Salt. Some can't have salt, acid, or potassium. I am not a Chef like you man I don't have the temperament for that type of kitchen work.

ZitherManifesto

Joffrey literally puking his guts out while shitting blood in front of the entire royal court unable to do anything about it is a pretty humiliating way to go. And he definitely was aware of how helpless he was to stop it. Honestly, dying in a battle or something would be far more dignified and heroic.

Random Random

Maple asked about Ramsey's last name Snow, It is a bastard's last name. It's the last name where the father is from. Snow for the North, Crownlands-"Water", Dorne-"Sand", Iron Island-"Pyke", Riverlands-"Rivers", Stormlands-"Storm" (My personal fav) Vale-"Stone" Westerlands-"Hill" However in the grand scheme of it all, knowing all those don't matter I'm just a Game of Thrones nerd and read all Goerge RR Martin book in his creation.

ZitherManifesto

Maple, since you asked, I'm a lawyer who loves movies and fantasy /sci fi novels; I recently started A court of Thorns and Roses by Maas. its well written and an easy read.

Chris Bruneau

I thought the same thing when Maple started singing.

Athasin

And that was the Purple Wedding

Athasin

To answer your question Maple: Bastards from the North have the last name Snow, from the Riverlands - Rivers, from Dorne - Sands, from the Iron Islands -Pyke, from the Reach - Flowers, from the Stormlands - Storm, from the Vale - Stone, from the Crownlands - Waters, and from the Westerlands - Hill

Athasin

They really need to listen to the south park rendition of the opening so they can be unable to unhear it like me. @maple I'm currently listening to the cosmere books they are pretty neat.

Kyle

I thought it was Episode 3 but I got tired of waiting for them so I went ahead and rewatched Season 4 and I was like oh shit he's dead already.

Ludus Aurea

Yessssss no more Joffrey. Y'all are gonna love Season 4, it's fire. Every single episode. There won't be anything as brutal as the Red Wedding again but it will be excellent even so, and far less traumatizing. A LOT happens this season and just like that it's over time for Season 5.

Ludus Aurea

I get what you mean about wanting to see Joffrey get overpowered and have his dying thought be about his own helplessness, but tbh I can't think of any death more horrible than not being able to breathe - it's a lot more violent in the books, he starts scratching and clawing at his own throat, but there's just something so horrible about knowing you can't do anything about it.

Matilda Beekay

Regarding Ramsay and Jon both having the last name "Snow," Ariana is right that this is a generic last name for bastards. While lowborn bastards are just simply not given a last name, bastards with a highborn parent are given a generic last name based on the region they are born in. Bastards from the North are Snow, bastards born in the Riverlands are Rivers, bastards born in the Stormlands are Storm, etc. That's why every time Jon Snow introduces himself to someone, that person automatically knows he's a bastard.

Vasili Brasinikas

“Unoriginal”😂😂😂😂😂

I felt more sympathy for Hot Pie when he didn’t get to see Arya scarf down his gift in its entirety. He’ll go through the rest of his life wondering if Arya was just being nice to him by taking that charity bite before throwing the rest away once he was out of sight.

Chris Thompson

I always forget it's that early too. I know it's not at the end of the season but I always think it's like episode 5 or 6. Also, GRRM actually wanted people to feel a bit of pity and sympathy for Joffrey at that point because it was such a horrible death. I guess he didn't realize what a horrible character he had written xD and it shows that he truly does love all of his characters. And it's probably a bit easier to pity him in the books where he's only 13 when he dies.

Christophe

My favourite part of this episode is that they didn’t deem that little shit worthy of an Episode 9 death. It was like “oh, here we go, just the start of a new season, the second episode no less when most shows slow down a bit after the opener to develop new stories and charac- aaand there you go Fuckface McFuckerson go bye-bye. Choke, bleed, beg for Mummy, and one less cunt in the world of Westeros.” Thing of beauty.
