I would love for them to watch Sweeney Todd

2024-10-07 22:50:30 +0000 UTCNot sure if it's quite a perfect fit for this but Sweeney Todd with Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter is an underrated musical slasher that more people need to see. It's the one movie adaptation that Stephen Sondheim wholeheartedly approved of.

2024-10-06 17:04:35 +0000 UTCPerhaps if they watched Ju-On it I would pick it 100% haha

2024-10-02 20:46:25 +0000 UTCI know it's not on here so maybe this is something you watch with Ariana at a later date (if you want), but Gerald's Game on Netflix. It's a Mike Flanagan adaptation of the Stephen King novel. It's not super scary per se--it's more of a thriller I'd say--but there's definitely a few bits that really messed with me. Also a few actors from Hill House are in it: Carla Gugino (Olivia) actually plays the main character, and then Kate Siegel (adult Theo) and Henry Thomas (young Hugh) are in it as well!

2024-10-02 07:25:45 +0000 UTCAs fun as Hocus Pocus is (and it would make for an enjoyable reaction video) I'm pleased to see what I'd choose 1st and 2nd both in the lead for once, yaay! If the voting holds, I'll be happy to watch either one.

2024-10-01 01:34:11 +0000 UTCYou mention sprinkling in a horror comedy or two; you must MUST watch Tucker and Dale vs. Evil absolutely hilarious and gruesome all at once, Alan Tudyk giving us his best redneck ever lol

2024-10-01 01:29:24 +0000 UTCThat's a great list! You should check out Oculus (2013) sometime. It's a film by Mike Flanagan (The Haunting of Hill House, Midnight Mass, etc.) starring the wonderful Karen Gillan (Amy Pond in Doctor Who, Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy, Ruby in the Jumanji reboots, etc.).

2024-09-30 14:30:15 +0000 UTCAlien is such a classic, but also 28 days later is maybe the best zombie flick ever made, especially as you have Peaky Blinders on the go it would be a good shout

2024-09-30 10:43:13 +0000 UTCThese choices are all good. I'm a fan of sci-fi so alien is easily my top favorite. I can hardly believe it's currently winning the poll at the moment but lfg! 🥳

2024-09-30 07:25:05 +0000 UTCI wish I was lying. I can watch it it's all good now but as a kid yea those youth soul suckers were terrifying and I'm pretty sure when I watched it there was a 20-40 frequency wave attached to it. Love the movie. But it's evil

2024-09-30 03:55:44 +0000 UTCAs long as Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th and Hocus Pocus don't win, I'm happy.

2024-09-29 23:25:09 +0000 UTCIf we're including sci-fi horror, then Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) would be a good one for this poll.

2024-09-29 22:38:59 +0000 UTCI'm confused 😂 If Maple wants to add just 'A few', I suppose the franchise picks are out of the question as , stand-alone films are probably the best choice.

2024-09-29 22:38:31 +0000 UTCWe need to get her to watch It Follows; it's a fantastic feel-good movie.
