I am VERY late to the party on this one, but it's so interesting, without having watched the rest of the season yet, to speculate what was and was not changed this season to accommodate Helen McCrory's untimely passing. The only area where I really have to suspend my disbelief is in the family's interactions with the IRA lady who had Polly killed. I know there was a four-year time jump, but I just do not see them being so business-as-usual with her. They're playing their characters like the only people the IRA killed were Aberama and a guy we knew for 5 minutes, not Polly fucking Gray. I'm guessing the decision was made to stick to the original story plan and trust the audience understands. Not a criticism, there's just an extra meta layer of tension to the story this season. It also makes me sad that McCrory's passing likely will also mean no closure for Aberama's character. I imagine the fallout of that was going to be a major part of Polly's story this season. Maybe they'll do something, but it will lack the impact without Polly. Bonus fact: if it hasn't already been mentioned a million times, Helen McCrory was married to Damien Lewis, i.e. Captain Winters from "Band of Brothers."

And Arianna.. while it may be rudtofor Tommy to light up in front of Alfie let's remember that Alfie has betrayed Tom at least twice for his own benefit lol. While they are friends they're still apex predators in their own fields๐ and good catch Maple i always wondered why Gina unsettled me and you helped me realize that it is because of her impeccable stoicism/control of her facial projection. She's almost like a void with two faces
