2024-10-13 03:15:49 +0000 UTCTell me you don't understand Steve and where that's coming from without telling me you don't understand Steve. /smh He wants Luke to "get it together" because he doesn't want to LOSE HIM TOO, to what he believes is an inherited illness that already took away his mother and little sister. As for helping Luke find help, at this stage he can't make Luke do anything unless he himself wants it. Steve is definitely a flawed character, but he's also one of the most layered and complicated ones, making him more realistic.

2024-09-25 21:49:38 +0000 UTCRewatching this reminds me of how much I hate Steve here. Steve believes the whole family has a genetic disease he never names but his advice is get it together. If he actually believed they have something he should help Luke find a professional to help him. Not give the advice get it together or I'll have to bury you too. Steve is hard to like because of other things he has said. But I particularly hate him for this conversation.

2024-09-24 03:01:40 +0000 UTCdid you notice how similar the mom crawling toward older Theo and Dad was to the monster in the basement that was crawling toward young Luke?

2024-09-23 18:11:26 +0000 UTCWhat I love about this show is how they explore different kinds of "ghosts". They say it in episode one, where Steve says "most times, a ghost is a wish", and here the dad talks about seeing their mother as a coping mechanism. I mean there are clearly "real" ghosts in this show but even the bent-neck lady was a twist on what I expected after realizing she wasn't trying to haunt anyone, she was just going through her own pain. Really interesting take on ghosts IMO.
