Ned heard a report of a man resembling The Mountain raiding villages in the Riverlands and leaving fish behind. Baelish explains that the Riverlands is where Cat’s family rules and fish is the sigil of her family. He also calls The Mountain “Tywin’s mad dog” because house Clegane serves the Lannisters, and The Mountain is one of Tywin’s top guys. It’s assumed that Tywin sent him to raid the Riverlands because Cat took Tyrion prisoner. Ned sends Ser Beric Dondarrion to caption the Mountain, but this is the last we hear of that plot line up to this point. In the last episode of season 1, Tywin tells Tyrion he’s sending The Mountain to set the Riverlands on fire while the rest of the Lannister forces reposition. Also, the Wildling lady at Winterfell is named Osha.

2024-09-24 06:04:36 +0000 UTCDidn't bother me much. I do prefer it if they have a lot to say and don't want to talk over the next 5 minutes of the show. Since my copy of the show was acquired through... ahem... extralegal means, I don't have an ad or the recap, so I always need to fiddle a bit around with small pauses at the start before I have it synced up completely. I'm used to it and have gotten quite efficient at it xD also for shows on Netflix like Breaking Bad, they cut away more of the pauses between scenes where ad breaks used to be than they do on other copies so there you have to resync like 3 times an episode. THAT one's annoying. This pause here was nothing.

2024-09-21 03:53:24 +0000 UTCthe pause didn't bother me. Maple said pause (very key) so that helped me to stop my version quickly. Personally, I would rather they pause for a minute or 2 so they can discuss something right away so they can understand it in the moment and not miss the next thing being discussed because they weren't sure of something in a scene before. There is so much info in each GOT scene (the world is still being built) that a quick pause, to me, isn't the worst thing.
