Sneak peak: Gary Anderson's mid-season F1 2025 supertimes

Ahead of his full mid-season F1 analysis being published on the site, we thought we'd share a look at the supertimes data Gary has gathered from F1 2025 so far.

His supertimes methodology takes a team and driver’s fastest single lap from each grand prix weekend and expresses it as a percentage.

It helps evaluate performance across the season with equal weighting for each of the 12 events. Single-lap pace is far more accurate given race pace includes so many more variables.

What stands out most to you?

Interesting to take the fastest lap over the course of the Grand Prix weekend, as opposed to qualifying? Curious why you wouldn’t just take the fastest qualifying lap since there may be other variables in the Grand Prix itself that contribute to the fastest time, like tire strategies, etc.? Or is realistically the fastest time over the course of the weekend usually the qualifying time?

Bortoleto over hulkenburg… a great view to just show how impressive his season has been so far, albeit a bit quiet
