LOTR: The Fellowship of the Ring

Mofo's! lol

Comments

Did you not watch the beginning of the video, before you posted the comment? Or did you forget what she said?

Myth Oceanas

I'm still so confused by these reactions. Why is Maple acting like she hasn't already seen these movies? Lol like literally on this channel only a couple years prior? Every single scene she is acting as though it's her first time seeing it.

SixDickSally

Very, very distant cousins. We're talking like 1st cousins 100 times removed

CrazyDiamond

Two Towers! Two Towers! :) I know it's a lot Arianna, but the catharsis and good feelings of the third film are worth the journey.

Michael McGee

Where is the Two Towers??? Where is tge Return of the King??? Please!!!

Tom

It was actually really intense in the theater. The vibe was real, all the seats were filled, people in cosplay, the whole 9 yards. It was crazy

Brian West

She's rockin' that Leslie Knope vibe

Henkan

Galadriel is a great gift giver, but "if I can't make it THE BEST gift anyone has ever given you you get nothing" is a pretty funny policy.

Amelie W

The smile Boromir does and the look of absolute pride he has when he calls Aragorn his king gets me every time.

Confused_Mortgage_0129

I'm dying here smalls.

Eric Wallace

😞

Eric Wallace

I've seen the extended trilogy easily over a hundred times and read the books probably 30 times in the last 20 years and 'i would've followed you, my brother, my captain, my king' still gets me blubbering like a baby every single time.

mike smit

Wow! The laugh/sobbing at the end killed me! I had to rewind to see it again! Love your reactions soooo much ❀️

DirtySteve

Don't suppose the two towers is gonna drop soon? I'm stuck home with vertigo

Eric Wallace

Sam being the MVP since Day One of the journey...

Bowi

not a bad idea

Chad Gloria

THANKS

Bowi

Genuinely so cute to see how sincere Maple's excitement to watch this with Arianna is. What a nerd ❀️

kelly

You beautiful placating muthaphuckas. Love it.

ChickensAreRacist

Poor Sean Astin gashed open his foot when running into the river at the end.

Dave M.

I'm pretty sure I recall Maple crying for like the last half of Return of the King. Most of us do.

Jimmy Greer

Just finished watching - another great reaction, thank you ladies! Maples' first time watching was actually how I first found you guys on youtube and subscribed right away, have been a fan since. Thanks for all the hard work you guys put in, hope y'all are doing well. Cheers!

Mary

If you both watch the behind the scenes for these, I would watch that as well. Just sayin'.

Com1xguy

Maple's cry at the end is definitely a second watch through only. Also, normally I love the quick jump into the reactions, but liked the longer intro on this one. Also also, you should just get a Costco sized order of kleenex for return of the king.

Eric Wallace

Loved the rewatch/watch reaction. LotR movies are some of my favorites and I rewatch them every so often. Feels like you always get something new out of them each time

Blkm44

just finished - my god ive never cried more watching a reaction. that was so beautiful, thank you so much for this!! god i love this movie (and these movies). can't wait for two towers. so glad you guys were impacted so emotionally from it! :)

Tom Fehr

Fun fact: The actor for the Uruk Hai that threw the knife at Aragorn at the end, was meant to throw it at a nearby tree. But since he couldn't see out of the mask properly, he accidentally threw it directly at Viggo, who deflected it with his sword.

dylan s

Yes, and bc of all they put in it from top to bottom it easily stands the test of time.

Andrew Clifton

I felt that way with "Troy". One of my favorites but there is just way too much totally unnecessary stuff in the extended. And that is often the case. Not here though.

Andrew Clifton

Yea come on guys, this isn't GOT. πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜…

Andrew Clifton

I feel ya lol. But idc. Once you start going bald in the middle (I did at 26 but it runs in my family) just end it and shave it. Cause it looks a lot worse with hair around the sides and nothing on top then just shaving it. And since I couldn't have a head of hair I grew a face of one. πŸ˜‚πŸ€£

Andrew Clifton

"Men should grow their hair out longer!" (cries in bald)

Tom Fehr

anyone else tear up when the violin kicks in on the Concerning Hobbits theme? no, just me? oop

Tom Fehr

Oh yay!

Ronald Foster

πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘ Best reaction I've seen of this movie so far and I've seen a lot of them. It's great to have someone to cry with during this (Yea I'm a big baby lol). But LOTR and Star Wars are by far my 2 favorite movie universes. BB and GOT are my favorite show universes. Frodo and Sam are the best bromance of all time. Mainly bc Sam is the best friend of all time. Boramir is a perfect example of what Galadriel was talking about when she said, "I would use this ring from a desire to do good... But through me, it would wield a power too great and terrible to imagine." And she's an elf lol. They have far more restraint than men. It isn't possible for a human to wield it. Only a hobbit has a heart pure enough to take on the burden. And even then most of them couldn't. Just look what it's putting Frodo through already. Boramir wasn't too much at fault bc nearly every man would have done the same. Merry and Pipp are so loveable too. I love when Gandolf rages on them. πŸ˜‚πŸ€£πŸ˜… little menaces but huge hearts. The relationship between Aragon, Legalus and Gimli have such a special relationship as well. Their fighting styles are my absolute favorite and they work so well together. Gandolf is a fave of mine too. Just such a cool, interesting and friendly but savage when he needs to be. Man I fucking love u guys.I just wanted to hug Maple at the end there πŸ˜ͺπŸ˜ͺπŸ˜ͺ I'm with you. Thank you so much for this. I really hope you do the extended on all of them, the hobbit movies and then watch the Rings of Power show in which season 2 comes out later this month I believe. The next one is one of my favorites in this universe. Can't wait. Sorry for such a long comment but I love this shit.

Andrew Clifton

My wife and I watched this reaction together--sure enough, she balled when Boromir died. That is the single most gut wrenching death scene I have ever watched! I'm not crying--You're crying!!! great reaction, ladies--that laughing AND crying at the end was fantastic!!!!!!!

Chris Bruneau

Gimli's Dwarvish insult was "I spit on your grave".

MGCR

I agree with Arianna about the Harry Potter comparisons. In a few of the movies, there's like integral parts of the story that explain key events that are completely erased (I think maybe the first egregious one is 4th movie, altho 3rd has some important explanations left out). Maybe since Jackson was able to plan out all three movies and do the whole story himself, he did a better job at this series, when in Harry Potter, so many people did different movies. I know ya'll are busy, but Harry Potter would definitely make a great series for either Halloween time or Christmas time.

Joshua Luzania

That ending was so fun to experience as both of you fed into each other’s loss of control. πŸ˜‚ Excited for the dynamic duo to tackle this trilogy!

Ian Forbes

It’s the extended.

Ian Forbes

lol love that

Chad Gloria

Man if you guys took a vacation to New Zealand to visit the filming locations and filmed it I would absolutely love to see that someday. You can even go to the still fully in tact hobbit village. I'm 49 minutes in and we're leaving the shire. πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯

Andrew Clifton

You gals are so much fun, when the movie ended you guys had me cracking up haha. I remember when Maple was watching these for the first time, it made me adore her so much <3. I'm so happy to hear that Arianna has yet to see these and that we get to see her first experience aswell. Thank you guys so much! I had a hard week and I didnt know.. but I really needed this. xo

Lifehouse

Ha ha! Don't worry. They are extremely distant cousins.

Marty McGee

I feel this is one of the few times that i have seen where Maple is more emotional than Arianna haha. I think it goes to how great the movie is in general, that even though Maple knows what it is going to happen, it still hits her that hard. I cannot wait for you two to see the 2nd and 3rd movie. What a great reaction!

Mario Serra

That is a not so fun fact lol

Chad Gloria

Is this the extended or theatrical? I don't think I own theatrical...

Bowi

I feel LOTR is fine in either cut. The only hills I die on is "Aliens" is better in theatrical and "The Abyss" only makes sense in the extended cut.

Dee Aitch

I guess you’ve never heard that take. I’ve seen some say it’s now universally accepted. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ So, you would disagree?

Bryan Erickson

Fun fact, Aragorn and Arwen are cousins.

aarswft

Oh, what a nice surprise! It's been, let's see...about one month since I last watched the trilogy. I was about due for my 36th rewatch anyway.

Smapdi

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

MJ Eid

What is this thumbnail for LOTR 1

MJ Eid

lol no? What a crazy thing to say.

aarswft

Is this the only movie series where the Extended Cuts are legitimately better than the Theatrical Release? I love Maple reacting to them again! She got so emotionally invested the first time around. I’m in!!!

Bryan Erickson

Wow what are the odds lol. I literally just finished watching this movie again for the millionth time! I guess I have to turn it on again to watch it with you!

dylan s

Yeah but I figured armarna had seen them and therefore she was not in the original videos with maple. Good to see arianna is watching them now

Jonathan Wiking

The production behind these movies is so insane. They shot all of them in a single massive block in New Zealand, huge budget and leap of faith, relying a ton on in-camera effects and clever tricks. I sadly agree with a comment that said there likely won't ever be another movie trilogy like this because it was an absolutely colossal commitment / leap of trust and faith from the money people for an untested (in movies) IP, it just seems impossible any studio would commit that amount of money + risk instead of doing a TV show, relying on digital effects, relying one existing IP etc. Behind the Scenes content is all on YouTube, well worth watching.

Kara

Oh dam. You guys are πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ One of the best worlds there is. You guys are gonna love all these.

Andrew Clifton

JRR Tolkien, laying on his death bed, signals for his nurse to come closer. Putting her ear closer to his mouth, she listens as he utters his final words: "It's pronounced Jandolf."

bostonate

Is it bad that once the sound is gone, I can still hear in my head because I've seen it so many times? 🀣 Don't need to sync up my own copy I guess!

MamaSeesa

Oh damn and you went for the extended cut, too. Time to clear my schedule, I guess. (Is this where I sheepishly admit I saw this movie in the theater... um... 17 times? Yeah, I was skipping a lot of my college classes to go to the movies that year.)

Jeff K

YAY ITS HAPPENING!

Samuel Bruce

That was just Maple.

MGCR

Oh my fucking god, I thought it'd never happen.

Eric Wallace

That is a suprise to me that she has not seen them yet.

Jonathan Wiking

Yay! One of my top 3 favorite movies of all time! πŸ’š

Tasi T

Oh man I cannot wait to see this reaction!

Mario Serra

Yes, Maple watched them previously but now Ariana is watching it for the first time with her!

Aaron

Wow! This wasn't on my bingo card!!! What a great film

Chris Bruneau

I thought you already had lotr reactios upp!

Jonathan Wiking

Hey cool. I've been meaning to rewatch the trilogy for a long while now. Now I have a reason to quit stalling.
