This episode shows how much the three amigos need each other and then just keep on keeping on by separating. Cas physically separates so he can help the angels even though he senses, then confirms Dean is in trouble and tells Sam he needs to be watched. The boys drive back in silence...that massive rift is not closing on it's own guys and now that Sam actually read something about the Cain/Able story with Cas's concern mixed in...I am shocked that they are writing Sammy this way. He can be angry, untrusting and even only business with Dean but whether he is the doomed brother is a glaring red flag that is coming up so late this season. I refuse to believe he has such little regard for himself or his 'co-worker' - not to mention a world full of innocents that are somewhat in danger from this Father of Murder Jr. he lives with.
