In the pilot episode when rumple learns of Emma’s name in the cell, that was the name that allowed him to remember when he hears it for the first time during reginas dark curse in Storybrooke when she books a room at granny’s.

You’re remembering right, they both were awake (Rumple and Regina) since ep 2 we get a hint that Rumple might be awake when he used the keyword that he made with Regina (EQ) before the curse, (Whenever Gold says “please” she have to obey) but as its said above by the others, hearing “Emma” is his wake up call that Gold hears when he mets Emma by the end of the pilot so maybe he took the potion too, or didn’t and just knew about her in the pilot
I loveeee Lana (Regina’s actress) you can see very easy when we’re seeing OG Regina from the curse, then Hero Regina and EQ regina, that is some good acting right there
Also, loved that you figured that Gideon resisted the black fairy orders and save a flower, I did not saw that coming, he’s doing his fight too and I love that he’s not evil as well, really glad how they’re handling his character and oh boy do I love how fabulous the black fairy is.
I very much love the concept of “the end of the book” “final chapter” and how they’re handling this, since the very existence of the book has been the most important element to this story (made Henry believed and started all) so including it like this, amazing
Love this episode, the charmings are always so cute to see, they’re the very definition of soulmates 🥰, anyway, great reaction (Specially when you said that everyone should clear up for some catching up 😅) can no waaait for the rest of the season 🙌🏻

Haha thought the same when I first noticed that Regina was on her chair, a true Queen ❤️ and also you’re right, I haven’t noticed how this second half is full of callbacks from the first season, love that

Great reaction! I'm always a huge fan of when the show explores Snow's psychology and her devotion to her kingdom. I think it's really sad how she's kinda stuck in a Catch-22 situation where if she had kept her daughter and given up her kingdom, she would feel guilty for condemning all those people to eternal suffering. But by giving up her daughter and saving her kingdom, she still feels guilty for depriving Emma of a healthy and safe childhood.
I thought it was really funny how everyone falls asleep on the floor after diluting the sleeping curse, but Regina's the only one reclining on her Mayor chair.
Giles Matthey (Gideon) has mentioned that this is his favourite episode, even though he only has like half a line, because of that scene with Emma, Snow, Gideon, and the Black Fairy in the forest and how pretty everything looked.
If you were to ever do a Season 1 rewatch, the Pilot would be pretty cool to see. There's a lot of nods and callbacks to the Pilot in Season 6 but this last half, in particular, has a lot.

Yes, all Rumple needed to hear to wake up from the curse was “Emma” which is why he says “what a lovely name” both in this episode and the Pilot.
Reminiscing season 1 🥲

Officially Rumple remembered when Emma said her name at the end of the Pilot episode. He truly was under the curse before then. Which is confirmed in this episode, with him saying the same thing he said in the pilot when David said her name.
