And the glass was to separate the aliens’ environment/atmospheric mix from the one they pumped into the room for us humans. While they brought Louise into it near the end, it certainly affected her and perhaps they knew that prolonged exposure could have lasting harmful effects. Glad you liked it, this one continues to hit me in the feels on repeat viewings. There’s a small film from 2010 called Monsters which also has a very unique take on aliens which you may enjoy as it also is very much about the two human protagonists amidst the sci-fi backdrop. Doubt it’ll make for good viewership numbers but maybe something for you on your own.
