I liked old Fox and Scully talking, some funny and touching stuff there. The direction and atmosphere was good. The rest was very strained and kind of boring imo. Compared to a similarly structured episode from season 1 like Darkness Falls where Mulder and Scully are also saved in the nick of time, this one pales in comparison. Particularly the secondary characters are better developed with understandable motivations and don’t just disappear?! “What happened to Olafsson?!” Indeed lol.
