Sounded like you thought he could since he is Michael’s perfect vessel. Even though Dean is Michael’s vessel, Dean had said no and hence Cas did not think of him as a servant of heaven. So either Cas was wrong, or Dean is making plans, which the ending scene with Lisa seems to suggest. But what exactly are those plans? We’ll soon see.... In the meantime, I hope have a good New Year’s.
