How to Hear Yourself [patron bonus]

In this Patron bonus video, we discuss strategies for hearing yourself better. Students commonly express worry about listening to themselves in a neutral way because "we sound different to ourselves than to others". This concern, while justified, presupposes that what others hear is what you must hear to succeed. The reality is, you live your life from your own perspective and, thus, from that perspective we must learn how to know improvement.

Ultimately, we want to listen in as many diverse ways as possible to give us a most comprehensive understanding of what "our" sound is. But action comes from the moment and thus, we must be able to listen in the moment and environment to which we live our life from (our own perspective).

Here are several strategies and thoughts about listening to yourself! Enjoy!

I saw people calling it the "antlers method" but I think "elephant ears" is cuter and therefore better. I will have to start doing the elephant ears more often, I've been forgetting that technique for a while but it seems pretty important!

That's what I get for not following instructions three years ago. Got mixed up and have been putting palms BEHIND ears. Duh. Sounds much brighter . What am I hearing that way? Will do it correctly now. Thanks
