I'm so glad I found your content to rewatch with!
This episode really shows what an amazing actor Jensen is. I'll never understand how he didn't become super famous.
He has awesome comedic timing. His ability to show anguish is phenomenal and so compelling. He can pull off goofy, serious, arrogant, self depreciating, adorable, intimidating. He's got it all.
He better be the next live action Batman. He'd be perfect, and maybe that will bring him more roles. I need more Jensen on my screens 🤣 🩷

I think he wanted the bullet for self-defence. He has enemies and there are only five things the Colt can't kill. He is a little over-confident, but his decision makes sense.

I really loved your reaction to this finale! It's nice to see someone react as strongly as I did first time I saw this, regardless of knowing that the show continues. You can never take anything for granted with Supernatural. The world is complex. Thank you so much for letting us experience this along with you. The people creating this show are really dedicated and care about telling a good story. And the actors are the ones charged with making it all real for us. Our boys are good, and Jensen is amazing. He's so good at projecting those feelings so we can feel along with him.
The colt was the one remaining element to opening the Gate, and maybe it was necessary to have a bullet in it - ? Or Yellow Eyes was just that cockey sure of himself that he left it in the gun.
I love season 2 so much! So many strong episodes and so much we learn through it about the world, the characters, etc.
Season 3 will be short. Only 16 episodes. There was a writer's strike that year. That meant that less time to tell the story they wanted to tell. It does result in some major story adjustments. But it all turns out for the best at the end, and leading up for season 4 and what's to come after that. I hope you enjoy it.
My question:
You mentioned that the finale wasn't what you expected. What were you expecting it to be like?
What would you like to see in the future?
Are you interested in hearing Behind the Scenes info, or does that interfer with the experience for you?

Oh, you are brilliant! I've seen this episode so many times and never realized that the ONLY thing Yellow-eyes had to do, was to throw the bullet away and keep the gun as a key. If he did that - everyone be dead!

Oh girrrrl, I *feel* your pain so hard! I cry every time, and it’s wonderful to see a reactor with the same level of emotion I had—that ALL of us had—to this 2-part finale! We’re not arguably the greatest fandom of all time for nothing! And you’re part of us now :D Are you going to do the season 2 gag reel reaction? They’re amazing! So are you! ❣️

Wow what a ride. I couldn't wait for this, I knew you were going to love it. We got a lot of questions answered, but also many new questions arise. And by the way Dean might not have told Sam about his crossroads deal, but Sam never mentioned the demon blood. As great as this season is next season is to me even better. There are some many things but I can't think of how to say anything without sounding spoilery. I just think the story gets more interesting. Hope you remember to watch the recap in the premier, great music cue and a nice "how we got here" montage. Anyway I really enjoyed your reaction and I'm looking forward to your "top picks"

He kept the gun because it was the key to opening the Devil’s Gate.

I don't have any questions but I hope you're going to react to the season 2 Gagreel which their gagreels are always a hilarious highlight 🥺⚘😎👌

10/10, SO GOOD. AND YOUR REACTION WAS PERFECTION!
Okay, every time you cried, I went, "MOOD". Because same. I just can't put into words how much I love this finale. These two parts are honestly some of my favorite writing choices, characterizations, and overall plotty-ness that we've had or WILL have. Seriously, these are great. (And my absolute favorites are still to come, so be prepared for more tears in the future!) So much world-building, foreshadowing, and yummy-goodness here. I love it so much. I mean, like you mentioned, episodes like Crossroad Blues have so much rewatchable because of what Dean did. It just gives an entirely new perspective. And this finale is the same. The rewatchability is insane! Anyways, enough babbling. I'm likely to spoil if I continue. Everything I want to say is right on the tip of my tongue... so instead, I'll ask a question for your season wrap up video:
When I first watched, I didn't expect them to kill off the yellow-eyed demon so quickly, especially after the botched attempt during the season one finale. Now that the yellow-eyed demon is gone, what do you suspect our next adversary to look/be like?

Believe it or not, but the emotional roller coaster has a lot more peaks and valleys ahead. Season 3 was shortened to 16 episodes due to a writers' strike in Hollywood that year. But it's every bit as solid as season 2. The top episodes (aside from the finale) are 3x3, 8, 11, and 13. Hope you enjoy it!
