I don't exactly like this episode much, but I definitely agree with you on the fact that the meta is awesome. Every time I see something that even resembles meta, I'm sold! xD And the Gilmore Girls reference had me laughing for an hour the first time I saw this episode...

2020-11-11 10:09:06 +0000 UTCI'm one of the few who actually really likes this episode. For a few reason's. The Meta in this episode is full on. So much of it was connected to the actual show - even down to the suits and their criticisms about it not being bright enough and such. And Jensen is the one who took lots of photos, which they used for the actress here. And there were lots of the real crew members in the scenes too. And one of the long time producers on the show - McG is in one scene - the crowd scene where the director is talking to the cast and crew. McG is standing behind Sam and Dean, wearing sunglasses. Meta is not always something that works, but I liked it here. I also liked how into it Dean was. I thought that was cute and funny. And kind of sad too. He may never have known any other life, or seen a life not hunting - but here he got a chance to feel a tiny bit of it. I always liked this episode, and I can see that you obviously know a lot of old tv and screen history, just like Dean.
